Bioinspired Design of Vascular Artificial Muscle
This article uses bio inspired design to mimic muscle action. LCE is used as an artificial muscle and mimics skeletal muscle action in the human body. LCE muscle uses heat to create energy for muscle function. According to the article, a vascular LCEābased artificial muscle (VLAM) is designed and fabricated with an internal fluidic channel in which the hot or cool water is injected to heat up or cool down the material to achieve fast actuation as well as recovery. This device also mimics skeletal muscle in the way it responds to stress, strain, and managing energy.
