CBID at Georgia Tech is involved in novel and creative research at the intersection of biology, engineering, architecture, and design using approaches informed by fundamental research in design theory and cognitive science. It promotes scientists, engineers, and other individuals to translate biological knowledge into innovative products and processes through research, interdisciplinary training & education, academic-industrial collaborations, and public outreach.
