This research paper discusses flapping micro-air vehicles that are inspired by bio design. The wings flap in counter phase. This is inspired by the idea that flapping wings are superior to flight than other flying mechanisms. “Stable flight at speeds between 2 and 5ms–1 has been demonstrated, and the models are essentially stall-proof while under power”.In this model, the large, fixed wing does most of the lift, while the smaller, flapping wings provide the thrust for motion.
