The Spark Awards Competitions is a competition for designers, which UC Berkeley students have participated in. It focuses on eight design categories: product, space, concept pro, cleantech, digital, experience, graphic, health, package, student, and transport/mobility design. Although they have yet to add a category for bio-inspired design, the competition is open for all majors and designer types. The Spark Awards main focus is on ideas rather than commercial/production designs thus promoting creativity and innovation.
