When biomimicry is applied to the fashion industry, inspiration goes beyond the look of the clothing. Whether it’s from the NikwaX fabric that mimics animal fur, the orange fiber fabrics that mimic yarn, or the specially designed Brewed Protein materials that allow for unique textures, biomimicry within fashion aims to connect the materials we wear to the world around us through applying biological processes to the construction of the materials and fabrics we wear.
